Carrick-on-Shannon to Battlebridge Blueway Project

The Carrick to Battlebridge Blueway project is an undertaking by Leitrim county council to develop a section of the Shannon river. The main aim is to help contribute to the localities on and around the Blueway by consolidating and enhancing tourism. The Blueway will provide a high quality cyclist and pedestrian blueway route.

As in any project of this scale communication is key, comcom.ie helped all parties with the community outreach, Firstly by creating a detailed Eircode map based on the information and shape files provided. Information packs were then hand delivered to all Eircodes within the mapped zone, These packs were used to communicate the project’s objectives and engage the community in public consultations.
